The design of the watch is really beautiful – however, it is barely noticeable in the photos that the hands are silver and not white. I completely agree with another reviewer: The time is extremely hard to read, a quick glance is not enough.To me, this is incomprehensible: On a white dial, black numbers and black hands are optimal – but on a black dial, the hour and minute hands should logically also be white, matching the white numbers.Instead, the hands are in silver or metallic colors – and that, in my opinion, does not work at all. Very unfortunate for such a beautiful watch otherwise! Just because of the poor readability, I wouldn't buy it again.

This pocket watch makes an excellent gift. It has a very crisp visual showing hours, minutes and seconds. The second hand is shown on an inset dial. For some the watch might be a little small but for me I can see the time nicely. I am very pleased with it, but it is right for the price. More expensive pocket watches have the next level of quality or size.
